“Oh, in the field stands a tree, slender and tall, with broad green leaves. And in that tree, a black rave sits and caws. Near a Cossack, a young maiden is crying: 'Oh, dear Cossack, you little star-petaled periwinkle-flower, who will make your bed, your little roadside bed?' 'For my bed there is yellow sweet clover, and for my pillow is my light blue overcoat.'"
