KITKA
Technical Rider and Information Sheet
This rider is herewith attached and made part of the contract between KITKA and
_____________________________________________________.
1.) DRESSING ROOMS: KITKA must have a private, clean,
secure, warm, and well-lit dressing area. The room(s) should be
furnished with several electrical outlets, an ironing board and
iron, at least two full length mirrors, clothes racks for costumes,
and chairs or other sitting accommodations for 9 singers. A private
restroom should be located close by. Dressing room(s) should be
large enough to accommodate 8 singers comfortably and should be
available at least two and one half hours prior to performance
and one hour afterwards.
2.) PROVISIONS: The dressing room should be stocked with both bottled, room temperature water, and hot water with a selection of herbal teas and hot cups. A hot, wholesome meal is requested at least 1 and 1/2 hours prior to curtain time. For menu suggestions, call KITKAs management at 510/444-0323.
3.) SOUND CHECK: A sound check of at least 30 minutes is required in the performance venue. A professional house sound engineer must be available throughout the entire sound check and performance.
4.) SOUND SYSTEM: The ideal way to present KITKA is in
a performance space with naturally reverberant acoustics and no
amplification. In multi-purpose type rooms with non-reverberant
acoustics a choral shell may be required. Should amplification
be necessary the following specifications are required:
• A stereo pair high-quality cardioid condenser microphones
(AKG C-3000 or 414, Shure KSM 44, CAD 100, Audiotechnica 4050/CMS,
or compatible) with necessary phantom power
• stable boom stands, alternatively, mics can be suspended
overhead.
• 3 high-quality on-stage monitors
• High-quality digital reverberation unit
• High-quality mixing board
Kitka can provide a pair of Rode NT5 choral microphones to presenter
upon request.

510/444-0323 for approval of equipment at least two weeks prior
to performance.
5.) LIGHTING: Warm colored gels (pink, lavender, rose, amber) are preferred. No green gels. Power for lighting should be run independently of the sound system to avoid interference with the sound signal.
6.) STAGE REQUIREMENTS: Stage must be at least 12 feet deep and 16 feet wide.
