Not to be missed! Kitka and Yerba Buena Center for the Arts are thrilled to introduce DakhaBrakha, a world-music “ethno-chaos”quartet from Kiev, Ukraine. Reflecting fundamental elements of sound and soul, “ethno-chaos” band DakhaBrakha, creates a world of unexpected new music like you've never heard before. Accompanied by Indian, Arabic, African, Russian and Australian traditional instrumentation, the quartet’s astonishingly powerful and uncompromising vocal range creates a trans-national sound rooted in Ukrainian culture.

|Singing Body Day Camp for Grown-ups (Int/Adv) with Caitlin Tabancay Austin and Corinne Sykes
Flexible tuition: $65-75 one day, $100-125 full weekend
Registration deadline: August 1 — Limited to 10 participants
Kitka vocalists Corinne Sykes and Caitlin Tabancay Austin lead a 2-day intensive workshop exploring the expressive range of the voice as supported by the body. Activities include: vocal and physical training and instruction; use of indoor and outdoor sound environments; teaching of new repertoire; as well as discussion of vocal anatomy, phonetics, and the science of sound.
