Kitka Vocal Auditions

Kitka is currently accepting preliminary materials for our spring 2016 live auditions! We are seeking women with compelling, versatile voices and engaging stage presence. Familiarity with Eastern European singing and language and music-reading ability is preferred. Accurate intonation, rhythmic capability, previous performance experience and strong ensemble singing skills are essential.

Voice of Roma's 19th Annual CA Herdeljezi Romani Music Festival featuring Esma Redzepova and her Folk Masters Band

Kitka is proud to present the “Queen of Romani (Gypsy) Song”, and one of the world’s “50 Great Voices” (NPR). Macedonia's Esma Redzepova and her Folk Masters Band's rare appearance in Oakland marks the culmination of her US Tour, one which she insists will be her last overseas.
