Songs from Lebanon: A Vocal Workshop with Khatchadour Khatchadourian to Benefit Beirut

  • Online via ZOOM Private link and song materials will be emailed to all registrants (map)

Lebanese-Armenian musician Khatchadour Khatchadourian shares soulful melodies from Lebanon in a vocal workshop to benefit relief efforts in Beirut.

About this Event

Welcome to a benefit vocal workshop exploring songs from Lebanon. Given the tragic explosion that took place in Beirut early August, we felt compelled to bring together a one hour program that shares with the arts community a couple of beautiful tunes from Lebanon. Our objectives are to reflect, through singing and voice, on loss and love, and to celebrate our shared humanity with a ray of hope.

The workshop is open to everyone! We will begin by discussing and demonstrating the songs, and asking everyone to join in a community style singing. We will conclude the workshop with space for reflections and questions. We will provide all material needed (sound samples, lyrics, translations, and transliterations) before the workshop. No prior preparation is necessary!

Cost: $5-$500 contribute what you can. Suggested donation: $25

100% of the workshop proceeds will support several Beirut-based NGOs doing very critical and urgent work.
